A food trading company, based in Baghdad
Aloroq imports food products and distributes them across the Iraqi market. We work from Baghdad - Uqba bin Nafi Square, behind the National Theatre - and distribute to Baghdad and every province.
One point should be clear: we are importers and distributors, not a farm and not a factory. We do not produce food and we do not raise livestock. Our role is to move a product from its approved plant to your shelf, in the condition, within the date and at the price that lets it sell.
We currently deal in twelve main food categories spanning more than seventy individual lines - from canned goods, tomato paste, pulses, rice and oils, through to dairy, frozen lines, beverages, spices, pasta, confectionery, tea and coffee.

We buy, we store, we deliver
We buy by the container from approved factories and suppliers, clear customs, and store in areas separated by what the goods need - dry, chilled and frozen. Then we sell: wholesale to distributors and wholesalers, and in smaller volumes to supermarkets, grocery stores and restaurants.
When a list of lines reaches us we review it item by item and send a quote covering price, availability, expiry dates and the earliest delivery date. If a line is not one we hold, we go and source it.
Three things we do not compromise on
The date is not negotiable
We run first-expiry-first-out. We will not ship short-dated stock without telling you plainly before it leaves - and you are free to refuse it.
Cold stays cold
Frozen and chilled lines hold their temperature from the moment we receive them to the moment you sign for them. We do not break the chain to save on freight.
What we agree is what arrives
No quiet substitution of one brand for another, and no shortfall discovered at unloading. And when something goes wrong, we fix it rather than explain it.
